1. Overview
When you sign in to OnCoor, you land on your Home Page — a friendly starting point that lays out everywhere you can go. Your destinations are grouped into section cards — for example Cleansing, Program Management, and Data Discovery — and inside each card the individual destinations appear as clickable pills. Alongside it, a left navigation menu — opened from the menu icon at the top left (the three stacked lines) — offers the same set of destinations as a simple list you can use from other screens.
Together they're designed to answer one question quickly: where do I want to go? Instead of hunting through a long menu, you get a clear, organised map of your workspace — on the Home Page as cards, and in the left menu as a labelled list you can open whenever you need it.
Both the Home Page and the left menu show only the destinations you're allowed to open, organised in a way that suits the work your team does. So your Home Page is tailored to you: it may look different from a colleague's, and that's by design (see section 6).
What you can do here
- See everywhere you can go — grouped into section cards.
- Jump straight to any area — click a destination pill, or a menu item.
- Find where you're going — browse the section cards, or open the left menu.
- Always know where you are — the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page shows your current location.
WHERE TO FIND IT — The Home Page is where you land when you sign in. Wherever you are in OnCoor, the Home link takes you back to it, and the menu icon at the top left (the three stacked lines) opens the navigation menu on any screen.
2. Why This Home Page Helps
Earlier versions dropped you onto a general dashboard and left you to find your way through one long, platform-wide menu — and that menu was a narrow strip of icons you had to recognise before you could click. If you already knew exactly where a task lived, that worked; if you didn't, it meant hunting. The v2.4.2 Home Page is built to take that hunting away.
- You land somewhere that points the way. Instead of a generic dashboard, you arrive at a page whose whole job is to answer "where do I want to go?" — your destinations laid out in front of you, grouped and labelled.
- You see what's relevant to you, not the whole platform. The Home Page shows the destinations chosen for your work, grouped into the sections that matter for it — rather than the entire catalogue of everything OnCoor can do. Less to scan, less to learn, fewer wrong turns.
- Related steps sit together. Destinations are grouped into sections that follow how the work actually flows, so the next thing you need is usually right beside the last.
- The left menu is readable. It replaces the old narrow wall of icons with plain-text labels grouped into clear sections, so you can tell at a glance what each item is — no decoding icons or hovering to find out.
- It's consistent and easy to learn. The same sections and destinations appear both on the Home Page and in the left menu, in the same order every visit, so once you've learned the layout it stays put.
The result is a starting point that helps newcomers get productive sooner and saves regular users the clicks they used to spend just finding their way.
3. Finding Your Way Around
There are a few ways to move around OnCoor, and they show the same set of destinations:
- The Home Page — a full-screen welcome view with your destinations grouped into section cards. Best when you're starting out or deciding where to go next.
- The left navigation menu — a labelled list of the same destinations, opened from the menu icon at the top left (the three stacked lines). Best when you're already working and want to hop somewhere without going back to the Home Page.
- The top-right menu (the waffle icon — a grid of squares) — a quick "go to section" shortcut for jumping around the Home Page; see The Home Page.
As you open other pages, a breadcrumb trail across the top of the screen shows the path you took and where you are now. It's the easiest way to tell your current location once you've navigated away from the Home Page, and you can click a step in it to head back up.
The next sections cover these in turn.
4. The Home Page
The Home Page opens with a short greeting — the name of your workspace and the line "Choose where you want to go." Below it, your destinations are laid out as section cards.
How the Home Page is organised
- Each card represents a section — for example, Cleansing, Program Management, or Data Discovery. The card groups together the destinations that belong to that part of your work.
- Inside each card, the individual destinations appear as pills — small, labelled buttons you click to open that destination.
- The cards, and the pills within them, appear in a set order, so the layout stays the same each time you visit and becomes easy to learn.
Opening a destination
Click a pill inside a card to go straight to that area of OnCoor — the same place the matching item in the left menu would take you. The card itself is a grouping, so clicking the card's heading or empty space won't navigate anywhere; it's the pills that are the links.
CLICK THE PILL, NOT THE CARD — If a card doesn't seem to respond when you click it, that's expected. The clickable parts are the pills inside — click the pill for the destination you want.
Jumping to a section
At the top right of the Home Page, the waffle icon (a grid of squares) opens a Go to section menu. When you have several sections, this is a quick way to move to the one you want without scrolling — open the menu, pick a section from the list, and the page jumps straight to it.
YOU ONLY SEE WHAT YOU CAN USE — The Home Page shows only the destinations you have permission to open. If a pill or a whole card isn't there, it usually means that area isn't part of your access — check with your administrator if you think something's missing.
A QUIET HOME PAGE — If no destinations are available for your workspace yet, the Home Page says so plainly rather than showing an empty grid. This is unusual and normally means your workspace is still being set up.
5. The Left Navigation Menu
The left menu gives you the same destinations as the Home Page, as a labelled list you can reach from anywhere — so you can move around without going back to the Home Page.
Opening and closing it
The menu isn't shown all the time. Click the menu icon at the top left (the three stacked lines) to open it, and click the icon again to close it when you want more room for your work.
Moving around
The menu lists your destinations by name, grouped into the same sections as the Home Page. Click any item to open it.
SAME PLACES, TWO LAYOUTS — The Home Page presents destinations as pills grouped inside visual section cards; the left menu lists the same destinations as a compact, text-only list. Whichever you use, a destination opens the same place.
6. Why Your Home and Menu Look the Way They Do
Your Home Page and left menu aren't the same for everyone — they're shaped to fit the work your team does. Behind the scenes, an administrator sets up a View: a curated selection of destinations, arranged into sections, chosen to match a particular use case (for example, an SAP conversion project or a data-quality effort).
Your workspace is assigned a View, and that View decides which sections and destinations appear, and in what order. It can also decide whether your home is the card-based Home Page described here or a summary dashboard. Because of this:
- Two people can see different Home Pages — someone in a different workspace, or with a different role, may have different cards and menu items.
- Your permissions still apply on top — even within a View, you only ever see the destinations you're allowed to open.
- The layout is intentional — the grouping into sections reflects how your team's work is meant to flow.
You don't need to set any of this up yourself. If your Home Page or menu is missing something you expect — or you'd like it organised differently — that's a change your administrator can make to your View.
IN SHORT — A View is simply the recipe for your Home Page and menu: which destinations show, how they're grouped, and where you land when you sign in. It's set up for you, so you can focus on the work.
