1. Overview

Process Monitor is where you watch your processes run and see how they're getting on. Every time OnCoor runs a data pipeline or a background job, it shows up here with its progress, timings, and a step-by-step log — so you can tell at a glance whether a run finished cleanly, is still going, or hit an error.

It's a view-only screen: you come here to observe and troubleshoot, not to change anything. The screen refreshes on its own while a run is in progress, so what you see stays current without you doing anything.

Process Monitor has two tabs:

  • User Process — your data pipeline (ETL) runs, shown with a visual diagram of each step.
  • System Process — the system and background jobs OnCoor runs behind the scenes.

What you can do here

  • See recent runs, newest activity first, with their start and end times and how long they took.
  • Filter the list by status and date range.
  • Follow a run's progress step by step, live, as it happens.
  • Spot and read errors, so you know exactly which step went wrong.

WHERE TO FIND IT — Open Management → Process Monitor. If you're working in the Conversion / Migration view, you'll find Process Monitor in the left-hand navigation menu.

VIEW-ONLY, AND LIVE — Nothing here changes your data or your processes — it only shows you what's happening. While a run is still going, the screen updates itself every few seconds so the progress you see is current.

2. Finding Your Way Around

Open Management → Process Monitor. Across the top are the two tabs — User Process and System Process — and each lays its information out the same way:

  • A list of runs at the top. Select any row to focus on that run.
  • A Filter panel on the right, for narrowing the list by status and dates.
  • Below, the details of the selected run — a visual diagram and/or a step-by-step log.

The pattern is always: pick a tab, pick a run from the list, then read its details below. When a list first loads, the most recent run is selected for you.

3. User Process

The User Process tab monitors your data pipeline runs — the jobs that move and transform your data. It has four areas.

The runs list

The table at the top lists pipeline runs, one per row:

ColumnWhat it shows
Pipeline NameThe name of the pipeline that ran.
As of DateThe reporting date the run was for.
Start TimeWhen the run began.
End TimeWhen it finished (blank if it's still running).
DurationHow long it took.

Select a row to load its details in the panels below. The list refreshes itself every so often, so new runs and updated end times appear without reloading.

Filter

Use the Filter panel on the right to narrow the list:

  • Status — show only runs in a particular state (for example, running, completed, or error).
  • Start Date and End Date — limit the list to a date range.

Choose your criteria and click Apply. Click Reset to clear the filter and see everything again.

The process diagram

Below the list, the selected run is drawn as a diagram of its steps — each task in the pipeline shown as a box. Every step carries its progress:

  • Its status — waiting, processing, processed, or error.
  • The number of records it has processed so far.

Click a step's status to open a detail popup for that step. While the run is still going, the diagram updates itself every few seconds so you can watch the steps complete in turn.

The log

To the side, the log lists the run's steps in order, with, for each one, its Start Time, the records processed, its End Time, and its Duration. It's the text companion to the diagram — handy for reading exact timings and counts.

WATCH IT HAPPEN — Because the diagram and log refresh live, you can leave this tab open on a running pipeline and see each step move from waiting to processing to processed in real time.

4. System Process

The System Process tab monitors the system and background jobs OnCoor runs — the behind-the-scenes work that isn't one of your data pipelines. It works the same way as User Process, with a runs list, a filter, and a log.

The runs list

ColumnWhat it shows
SystemProcess NameThe name of the system process that ran.
StatusIts current state (for example, running, completed, or error).
ParamsThe parameters the process ran with.
Start TimeWhen it began.
End TimeWhen it finished (blank if still running).
DurationHow long it took.

Select a row to see its log below. As on the other tab, the list refreshes itself and the most recent run is selected when the list loads.

Filter

The same Filter panel is here — narrow by Status, Start Date, and End Date, then Apply (or Reset to clear).

The log

The log for the selected process lists its steps in order. For each step you'll see its Start Time, then either the records processed or, if that step failed, the error message shown in red, followed by the End Time and Duration.

ERRORS STAND OUT — When a system-process step fails, its error description is shown in red right in the log, so you can see what went wrong without opening anything else.

5. What the Statuses Mean

Both tabs use the same set of run statuses. The exact labels come from your system's configured list, but they map to the same idea:

StatusWhat it means
Running / In ProgressThe run has started and is still going. The screen keeps refreshing while it's in this state.
CompletedThe run finished successfully.
ErrorThe run stopped because a step failed. Open its log (System Process) or step diagram (User Process) to see which one.

STILL RUNNING? IT'LL REFRESH — A run that's still in progress is polled automatically every few seconds. Once it reaches Completed or Error, the auto-refresh stops — the picture you're looking at is the final one.
