1. Overview
A Worker is an automated runner that carries out a job on a schedule, so the work happens by itself at the times you set rather than someone starting it by hand each time. The Worker screen shows all your workers laid out on a calendar, so you can see at a glance what's set to run and when.
What you can do here
- See all your workers on a Week or Month calendar.
- Add a worker that runs a chosen job on a schedule.
- Adjust a worker — rename it or change when it starts.
- Remove a worker you no longer need.
- Move through time to look ahead or back.
WHERE TO FIND IT — The Worker calendar is under the Process area (Process → Worker). It opens on the calendar, showing the current month.
2. Key Concept: What a Worker Is
A worker ties four things together so a job can run on its own:
| Part | What it means |
|---|---|
| Job | The actual task the worker runs. |
| Schedule Type | How the worker repeats — for example a one-off run or a recurring pattern. |
| Calendar | The calendar that governs which days the worker may run on (such as working days). |
| Scheduled Start Time | When the worker should begin. |
Once you create a worker it starts straight away on the schedule you gave it — there's no separate "turn on" step. From then on it appears on the calendar and runs by itself until you change or remove it.
Rule of thumb: a worker is "run this job, on this calendar, starting at this time, repeating this way." Set those four things and it takes care of the rest.
3. Finding Your Way Around
Go to Process → Worker. The screen is a calendar with your workers drawn onto the days they're scheduled to run. Along the top is a small toolbar:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Week / Month | Switch between a week view and a month view of the calendar. |
| Add Worker | Create a new worker (see section 4). |
| Previous / Next (the arrows) | Move the calendar back or forward one week or month at a time. |
| Today | Jump straight back to the current week or month. |
Each worker shows up as an entry on the day (or days) it's set to run. Click a worker to open its details, where you can adjust or remove it (section 5).
4. Adding a Worker
Steps
- Click Add Worker to open the Add New Worker window.
- Fill in the fields (all are required):
| Field | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Worker Name | A name so you can recognise the worker on the calendar. |
| Schedule Type | How the worker repeats — pick from the list. |
| Job | The job the worker will run. |
| Calendar | The calendar that decides which days the worker may run on. |
| Scheduled Start Time | When the worker should first run. |
- Click Save. The worker is created, starts on its schedule right away, and appears on the calendar.
CREATING A WORKER STARTS IT — There's no separate step to switch a worker on. As soon as you save, it's live and will run at its scheduled time. If you're not ready for it to run, hold off on creating it — or remove it afterwards.
5. Editing or Removing a Worker
Click a worker on the calendar to open its detail panel.
What you can change
You can update the Worker Name and the Scheduled Start Time. The Schedule Type, Job, and Calendar are fixed once a worker exists and are shown for reference only — if you need to change those, remove the worker and add a new one.
- Save applies your changes and restarts the worker on its updated details.
- Cancel closes the panel without changing anything.
Removing a worker
Click Delete in the detail panel and confirm. This stops the worker and removes it — it won't run again. Use this for a worker that's finished its purpose or was set up by mistake.
SAVING RESTARTS, DELETING STOPS — Saving a change restarts the worker so it picks up the new details. Deleting stops it for good. Both take effect immediately, so make changes when you're ready for them to apply.
