User Guide — Configuring the Sources Intake Reads From

|  Last updated: September 2026

1. Overview

Before OnCoor can bring data in, it needs to know what kinds of source it can read and how those sources map to your data layers. The Intake screen (Intake Configuration) holds that reference data. It has two tabs: Source Type and Source Domain Layer. This is the setup behind the Intake Model — see the Intake Model guide for building models on top of it.

WHERE TO FIND IT — Intake is under Process → Config. Use the two tabs to switch between source types and their domain-layer mappings.

2. Source Type — The Kinds of Source

The Source Type tab lists the types of source OnCoor can read from, and how it reads each one.

ColumnWhat it shows
Source TypeThe name of the source type.
Object SQLThe query OnCoor uses to list the source's objects (its tables).
Model SQLThe query OnCoor uses to read the source's structure (its columns).
Created By / Created Date, Updated By / Updated DateRecord-keeping details.

Add a source type with the + button and remove one with the delete icon.

THE TWO QUERIES ARE HOW ONCOOR "READS" A SOURCE — Object SQL finds what tables a source has, and Model SQL reads their structure. Together they let the Intake Model import a source automatically, so they need to be correct for that source type.

3. Source Domain Layer — Mapping Sources to Layers

The Source Domain Layer tab says which domain layer each source type feeds.

ColumnWhat it shows
Source TypeThe source type.
Domain LayerThe domain layer it maps to.
Object RetrievedWhether the source's objects have been read in yet.
Created By / Created Date, Updated By / Updated DateRecord-keeping details.

Add a mapping with the + button and remove one with the delete icon.
